Frequently Asked Questions
Can shutters be used on a semicircle-arched window?
They certainly can! Custom shutters can be designed to fit any window in your home. Using the exact measurements, dimensions, and angles of your window, our proprietary shutter design software creates each shutter uniquely.
Can I install shutters around my existing window trim?
They most certainly can. Our arched shutters are available in various frame styles to accommodate any window style or existing trim.
Are the louvers on Sunburst arches adjustable?
They can, indeed, be adjusted. In addition, because there is no tilt rod to operate the louvers, they can be adjusted by hand, unlike horizontal louvers.
How do I take shutter measurements for an arched window?
When measuring the width and height of your arched windows for shutters, round up to the nearest 1/8″ (and round down to the nearest 1/8″ if you land on a 1/16″). To determine the width, measure the widest point at the bottom of the arched window with a steel measuring tape. To determine the height, start at the bottom and work your way up to the arch’s tallest point. If your arched windows have legs (straight sides that end in a curved hook at the top), measure the height of the right and left legs and the middle of the turn.
