FROM FAUX WOOD
TO FINISHED BLIND
Every faux wood venetian blind passes through six controlled production stages -- from raw PVC compound to a finished, inspected product ready for your warehouse.
PVC COMPOUND
PREPARATION
Raw PVC resin is blended with stabilisers, UV inhibitors and wood-grain pigment compounds. The formulation is engineered to resist yellowing under Australian UV conditions -- verified against our 500-1,000 hour UV test standard.
PVC EXTRUSION
& SLAT FORMING
Prepared compound is fed through one of our 50+ dedicated PVC extrusion lines. Continuous die-forming produces uniform slat profiles at consistent wall thickness -- the foundation of a stable, non-warping blind.
COATING &
WOOD-GRAIN EMBOSSING
Extruded slats pass through 3 automated water-based coating lines. A wood-grain texture is embossed onto the surface, producing the faux timber appearance. Colour consistency is monitored at every batch to ensure uniform results across large orders.
PRECISION CUT
& PUNCHING
Coated slats are fed through 20+ CNC machining centres for precision cutting to length and ladder-cord hole punching. Automated measurement ensures each slat meets dimensional tolerances required for smooth tilt and lift operation.
ASSEMBLY &
CORD STRINGING
Slats are loaded onto 80+ automated assembly stations where ladder cords, lift cords, headrails and bottom rails are fitted. Cord tension and tilt mechanism function are verified at every station before the blind moves to final inspection.
FQC INSPECTION
& PACKAGING
100% finished product inspection is conducted before packaging. Each blind is checked for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, tilt and lift function, and cord integrity. Shipping-safe packaging is compression-tested to withstand sea freight conditions to Australia and New Zealand.
THREE-STAGE QC ACROSS EVERY PRODUCTION RUN
IQC incoming material check, IPQC in-process monitoring and FQC 100% finished product inspection are applied to every order -- regardless of volume. Batch-to-batch consistency is non-negotiable for long-term supply partners.

Faux wood blinds use PVC slats -- not timber. They are waterproof, warp-resistant, and suited for high-humidity areas like kitchens and bathrooms. They are not a direct substitute for wood venetian blinds in premium or heritage fit-outs. Specify correctly for your customer's application.

Colour Consistency Across Batches
PVC colour is applied via automated water-based spray lines. Batch-to-batch colour consistency is controlled at production level -- not reliant on manual touch-up. For repeat orders, reference your confirmed colour code from the first production run to maintain uniformity across shipments.
Lead Time: 20-30 Days from Order Confirmation
Standard production lead time is 20-30 days. Full container orders with confirmed specs can dispatch within 7 days of container fill for in-stock PVC profiles. Sampling lead time is 3-7 days. Build your replenishment schedule around confirmed lead times -- not estimates.
