Unlike trading companies that outsource PVC components, Bright Shutters operates 50+ dedicated extrusion lines within our 50,000 m² Shenzhen facility. Every profile section -- from louvre blades to frame stiles -- is self-extruded, not purchased and assembled.
Our mould library includes 200+ profile sections across hollow and solid PVC structures. Standard louvre widths range from 47mm to 114mm. Custom profile development supported with new mould tooling -- typical lead time 15-20 days for prototype extrusion samples.
HOLLOW VS. SOLID PVC LOUVRES
Hollow PVC: Internal cavity structure reduces material weight by 30-40%, lowers shipping costs, suitable for residential applications with standard louvre widths ≤89mm.
Solid PVC: Continuous core provides higher torsional rigidity, recommended for commercial projects or louvre widths >89mm where structural stability is prioritised over weight.
WATER-BASED COATING.
LOW VOC.
Three automated water-based coating lines apply low-VOC finishes to extruded PVC components. Water-based formulations align with ANZ green building trends and deliver significantly lower volatile organic compound emissions compared to traditional solvent-based systems -- supporting long-term compliance with evolving environmental regulations across Australian and New Zealand commercial projects.
Colour consistency maintained within ΔE <1.5 across mixed-container orders. Batch colour matching protocols ensure louvre blades, frame stiles, and tilt rods from different production runs remain visually uniform when installed side-by-side.
UV anti-yellowing testing conducted on all white and light-coloured PVC finishes. Samples exposed to 500 hours accelerated UV radiation (equivalent to approximately 2-3 years Australian sunlight exposure) before final production approval. Test results archived for traceability.
LIMITATION NOTICE
Dark colours (charcoal, black, navy) on PVC surfaces may exhibit higher heat absorption in direct sunlight, potentially causing slight thermal expansion. For south-facing or west-facing installations in high-UV regions, we recommend lighter colour selections or aluminium alternatives.

Dimensional stability maintained across 80-95% relative humidity environments. No substrate swelling, paint delamination, or mould growth observed in accelerated moisture exposure testing. Louvre blade geometry remains consistent, ensuring smooth tilt operation and uniform light control even after prolonged high-humidity exposure.

Standard production cycle for PVC plantation shutters: 20-30 days from deposit confirmation to final quality inspection. Full container orders dispatched within 7 days of production completion -- includes carton labelling, pallet wrapping, and container loading at our Shenzhen facility.
Mixed-container orders supported: combine PVC shutters with timber shutters, venetian blinds, or window shades in a single FCL shipment. Minimum replenishment quantity 10 units per SKU for established trade partners.
Sample requests processed within 3-7 business days. Physical samples shipped via DHL/FedEx to ANZ addresses. Sample costs refundable against first production order (minimum 1×20' container).
